The P2080 disc drill model is specifically designed for P1000 Series air cart applications. It’s offered in 30, 40, 50 and 60 ft. (9.1, 12.2, 15.2 and 18.3 m) widths in 7.5 or 10 in. (19.1 or 25.4 cm) spacing for big acres and maximum productivity. The frame design offers exceptional weight distribution that is ideal for many different crops and soil types. In addition, the narrow V-shape envelope adds additional stability for safe and convenient transport to and from the field.

PARALLEL LINK DESIGN

Industry-leading patented parallel link design provides even seeding placement at higher speeds and on rougher terrains. It ensures best-in-class emergence in a wide variety of soil, seeding depths, and field conditions. The low-maintenance design allows farmers to spend more time where it counts – in the field.

DEPTH CONTROL

For a customer who demands high productivity, look no further than the P2080 disc drill. The true 0-3.5 in. (0-88.9 mm) depth settings accommodate all seeding depths. The single-handed adjustment makes the P2080 the easiest depth adjustment on the market.

CLOSING SYSTEM DESIGNED TO ACCOMMODATE VARIOUS SOIL CONDITIONS

A heavy-duty-rubber, smooth-faced concave 4 x 12 in. (101.6 x 304.8 mm) packer wheel is designed specifically for exceptional closing in tough conditions, whether you have clay, sand or both types of soils. The double-edge closing wheel follows behind to seal the trench and is effective in a wide variety of soil conditions. The closed trench is essential to providing maximum seed-to-soil contact for uniform germination and plant stand establishment. The hollow center of the closing system further maintains a smooth field finish and reduces soil compaction.

VARIABLE PACKING PRESSURE RANGE ADJUSTMENT

The operator can further tailor the drill for varying moisture conditions and soil types with the variable packing pressure range adjustment. There are three convenient settings of 60, 75 and 85 lbs. (27.2, 34, and 38.6 kg) of available variable packing pressure for each row unit.

SECTIONAL CONTROL

P2080 drills can now be set up with P1000 Series New Holland Air Carts equipped with two-section control. This option provides capabilities to shut off drill sections with the push of a button, or automatically via GPS. This option significantly reduces input costs and increases yields by eliminating overlap on turn rows and odd-shaped fields.

FRAME ACCESSIBILITY

Open frame design combined with larger bracing members allow for easy accessibility and maintenance across the drill. This design also allows for convenient depth adjustment on the center section of the drill frame.

A high-flotation walking beam tandem axle option is available on all models of the P2000 disc drill. This option features walking beam tandem axles on both the front and the rear mainframes and provides maximum flotation in the toughest conditions. In addition, this axle option allows for better ground following and better crop emergence on wheel tracks.

CONVENIENT & NARROW TRANSPORT

The narrow transport widths on all P2080 models allow for easy transport on narrow roads or bridges. Along with the narrow width, the design offers excellent stability making it easy to safely transport equipment on public roads.
